We gave Plough a try after hearing great reviews and were not disappointed. We got the Plough board, which we ended up having leftovers of (not a bad thing to enjoy some tasty cheese later in the night), followed by the gnocchi and the crab fettuccine. All of it was delicious! A little on the pricier end of things, but the atmosphere, drinks, and food were worth the trip!

Conveniently located in the Marriott at Penn Square. There is a multi-level county parking garage rear of the hotel, and the rate is per hour or overnight. The entrance to the garage is on S Christian St., just past the intersection with E King Street. Drive slow. The entrance ramp is tight! The parking garage has plenty of handicap parking slots and is handicap friendly ADA compliant.
There are to EV charging stations.
This is an upscale, casual wear suggested restaurant, reservations recommended. If you have to wait, the hostess will text you when a table is available so you can have drinks at the bar or enjoy Penn Square.
The staff are friendly and very professional. My waiter, Aron, was very familiar with the drinks and menu and provided excellent service.
The atomsphere in the restaurant area was comfortable and cozy and definitely good for a romantic night out.
The bar area is comfortable, completely separate from the restaurant with a seating area. The bar has its own dedicated menu as well as everything you come expect at an upscale establishment. The atomsphere is comfortable and professional, not loud and distracting.
Finally we came to the food which was absolutely fantastic! I absolutely enjoyed and recommend the Plough Focaccia small plate! It's four slices with an awesome spread, perfect for two. The Plough Burger and the Grilled Berkshire Pork Chop was outstanding. The portion sizes are large, and you may not have room for desert, I didn't.
I did not sit at the bar or have a drink or desert.
I rarely rate 5 stars. Service, atomsphere, and the food was all outstanding and location fantastic.
Enjoy.
Everyone has their own experiences and opinions, and this one is mine.

Inside the Marriott is a beautiful bar/ restaurant. We made Anniversary Dinner reservations here. We delighted. The ambiance was elegant. We were seated at a quiet booth with Jenny as our server. She was very attentive and really catered to us and our needs. Everything was delicious from soup to nuts. Their food is very tasty and so are their desserts. We will definitely be back!
Went back tonight, and it was even better than the last time. This time, we had Alana as our server. She was just as great as our last server, but even better. Can't wait to go back again.

My sister and I stumbled on this place accidentally and we were so happy we did! The atmosphere was warm and cozy, our server Zoey was so amazing and the food was phenomenal. We live in Maryland but I would make the drive again to go here!

Food was outstanding! I visisted for a weekend getaway with my wife and the preparation, presentation and blends of ingredients were excellent. I had no reason to leave the conference center to dine elsewhere. We ate there two nights in a row! We had the Pork Papardelle & Pork Belly with Grits the first evening and the next evening, the Center Cut Pork chop, She Crab soup and Endive salad the next. Excellent on all fronts. Jay and Jack were excellent in caring for us. Btw, ask for the seats near the kitchen where you can watch the kitchen magic.

This was a tough review, I absolutely love this place and they nailed it as far as a classy fun hotel bar. If you have never stayed or been to the Plough they have a great menu, and their atmosphere is hands down awesome. My only concern is when I went in tonight there was clearly a weakness behind the bar. I hate watching folks waiting for 30 mins to get drinks. I was one of them. To be fair the weakness was just one bartender as the other was great and doing their best to try and keep up. I post this in hopes management fixes the problem. I love this place and have been several times and still say it’s one of the best places as far as a hotel bar restaurant.

From start to finish this place was a gem! The hostess was kind and got us seated quickly, Daniel was so helpful in getting us situated and our server Andrew was like part of the family! The food was to die for and it's definitely an experience I'd recommend to anyone in the area!

I came here with a couple friends for a birthday dinner on Saturday evening. The service was very fast and professional. I had the grilled mahi-mahi over creamed corn and it was so flavorful! Our waiter, Jamie, was wonderful and even surprised us with a birthday dessert of raspberry sorbet. That was the perfect palate cleanser! The Juniper Rosé was delightful! Definitely will visit again when I’m in town. Parking was so close by as well.
